R9 series Les Paul Standard with 1959 specs and a comfortable weight. This example features a beautiful sunburst maple top with plenty of flame, sought after by many 'burst' collectors.
Body: Original burst finish with incredible 3D maple flame. Gibson's iconic Les Paul shape.
Neck: One piece mahogany neck, free of cracks or breaks. Rosewood fingerboard. Pearloid inlays. 9 5893 inked serial number at headstock.
Pickups/Hardware:
Original electronics include Burstbucker pickups, quality pots, bumble bee caps. Accurate Kluson 'keystone' tuners. Nickel hardware has aged nicely over time. Honest wear in finish. Cream white plastic pickguard and pickup rings as used in 1959 production. ABR-1 bridge.
Cosmetic Condition: Original frets have plenty of life. No breaks or cracks.
Playability: Nice medium action. Notes ring out clear and true throughout the fretboard. This instrument has been fully inspected, cleaned, frets polished, fretboard oiled, truss rod adjusted, bridge intonated with fresh 10-46 strings.
