1974 Fender Stratocaster

The Fender Stratocaster is iconic in both sound and design. This clean example features a beautiful see through Mocha finish with a hard maple neck with large headstock. A great addition to anyone's collection.

Body: Original mocha showing grain under finish.

Neck: Maple with dot inlays. Fender water decal logo intact. Truss rod moves freely. Neck stamp reads 09031643, which translates to 09(Stratocaster) 03(maple neck) 16(week) 4(year) 3(Wednesday).

Pickups/Hardware: Two original staggered pole pickups measure strong, with code 144073 stamped on bottom. Middle pickup is an appropriate spec replacement. Original middle pickup is out for rewind and is included in sale. Pickup selector switch is original 3 way. Fender 'F' tuners hold strong. Bridge saddles are in great condition and move freely for easy intonation. Pots date 49th week 1972. Serial number 514644 on neck plate. Plastic pickguard and back plate are non original replacements. Note previous name and id number etched into metal plate. 

Cosmetic Condition: Honest play wear throughout. No breaks or cracks. Light natural checking looks great in this thin finish. Condition is well loved, not abused. 

Playability: Frets show little play wear with plenty of life left. This guitar has been fully cleaned, authenticated, set up, and intimated with standard 10-46 strings. It is ready for studio or stage.

Weight: Comfortable at 7 lb 11 oz.  

Case: Fender hard case in great condition.  Handle intact. All hinges and latches intact.
