1961 Fender Statocaster

The Fender Stratocaster is iconic in both sound and design. Here's an original example in classic sunburst with a slab board rosewood neck.

Body: Original sunburst finish with natural checking throughout. The red hues in burst are mostly unfaded. Pencil body date is 7-61.

Neck: Maple neck with dark rosewood slab fingerboard. Clay dot inlays. Pencil neck date is 8-61.

Pickups/Hardware: Original single coil pickups are strong at 5.98 (neck), 5.75 (middle) and 5.71 (bridge). Original 'donut' pickup spacers are intact. Pots date 14th week of 1961 23rd week 1961. The original three way switch is intact, solder joints appear untouched. Pat No single line Kluson tuners hold strong. Pickguard has usual shrinkage as shown at screw holes. 'Ash Tray' bridge cover and tremelo arm hardware included.

Cosmetic Condition: Honest play wear, dings, checking. No breaks. Well loved, not abused.
