1956 Gibson Les Paul Junior

The Gibson Les Paul Junior features elegant and simple design. This example is an amazing find that would make an excellent addition to anyone’s collection.

Body:Single slab Honduran mahogany with tobacco sunburst finish. 

Neck: Mahogany. Round neck profile, smaller than the typical 56 'baseball bat' size. Nut is slightly larger than 1 11/16" wide (actual measurement 1 45/64"). Brazilian rosewood fretboard with dot inlays. Original frets. Truss rod moves freely. 

Pickups/Hardware: Original P-90 single-coil bridge pickup reads slightly below average at 6.73K. Original gold top hat knobs. Original Kluson 'single line' strip button tuners hold strong. Wraparound bridge. Original tone and volume capacitors with Sprague 'bumble bee' capacitor. Jack plate attached offset at factory. 

Cosmetic Condition:

Guitar has been fully cleaned and polished while in shop. Normal play wear throughout with strum marks and finish checking. Wear at headstock and next to truss rod cover. There's a two inch section on back of neck shows damage from case pocket logo. The metal Gibson logo in case has worn through the finish and into the wood. No cracks, breaks, or repairs. 

Playability: Original frets show play wear and have plenty of life left. It is currently set up and intonated with Gibson Les Paul Signature silk wrapped 10-46 strings.
