The Fender 5E8 tweed Twin Amp is considered by many the perfect stage and recording amp. It offers 50 watts from two 6L6 output tubes through a pair of 12” Jensen speaker in a finger jointed pine cab. The 50 watt narrow panel circuit using two 5U4 rectifier tubes was a big improvement compared to the previous 25 watt wide panel 5D8 amp with two 5Y3 rectifier tubes.
This example features a newly restored tweed covering and historically correct leather handle. the 5E8 circuit is original, unmodified, and fully serviced including fresh filter caps, and a grounded three prong cord. The original matched pair gold label Alnico speakers are strong with original cones. The sound is authentic golden era Fender tweed tone.
