Originally marketed as an entry level guitar, Gibson's Les Paul Junior found its way into the hands of Leslie West, Johnny Thunders, and Billie Joe Armstrong. This example is old wood (manufactured 1955-1957) with a refin and changed parts. It's fully set up, plays great, ready for studio or stage.
Body: Single slab mahogany finished in sunburst. Gibson's classic single cutaway body shape.
Neck: Mahogany with no binding. Dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, pearl dot inlays.
Pickups/Hardware: Replaced P-90 soapbar style under dogear cover. Measures vintage strength at 7.85K. All hardware are replacements with many years of natural wear. Intonatable stoptail bridge.
Cosmetic Condition: Plenty of honest play wear, dings, checking at headstock. Well loved, not abused.
Playability: Frets show some play wear, but plenty of life left. Nice medium action. Notes ring out clear and true throughout the fretboard.
Modifications/Repairs: Refinished, replaced parts, evidence of repair under refin located mid neck (photo)
Case: Used hard case.
