1961/1965 Fender Jazzmaster

From The Ventures to Sonic Youth, many bands have had their sound defined by the Fender Jazzmaster's unique tone. This example is player's grade ready for stage or studio. 

Body: Refinished in orange and naturally reliced with honest play wear. Fender's classic balanced offset body shape. Neck plate and electronics date body to 1965. Original white guard is correct for custom color. Traces of candy apple red and lake placid blue can be seen inside body cavity. 

Neck: Maple neck with dark rosewood fingerboard. Pearl dot inlays. 7.25" radius fingerboard with 21 frets, 25.5" scale. Solid headstock repair, refinished in orange. Slab rosewood neck dating 7-61.   

Pickups/Hardware: Wide single coil pickups are strong at 6.74 (neck) and 6.64 (bridge). Pots date 45th week 1965 and 51st week 1965. Knobs are white correct for 1965. 

Cosmetic Condition: Plenty of honest play wear, dings, checking. 

Playability: Frets show some play wear, but plenty of life left. Nice medium action. Notes ring out clear and true throughout the fretboard.

Modifications/Repairs: Replaced tuners, headstock repair, refinished to orange.  

Case: Gig bag.
