1958 Fender Precision

The Fender Precision is iconic in both sound and design. Here's your chance to purchase a true player's bass that packs a punch and is comfortably light weight.

Body: Old refin to natural has aged beautifully with signs of natural wear and checking. Original sunburst finish found in neck pocket and pickup cavity. Pencilled date in pickup cavity is 7-58. Routed for Jazz style pickup in bridge position. Body weight is 3lb 15 oz (no hardware). 

Neck: Maple with black dot inlays. Original finish and Fender spaghetti style logo. Neck date is 4-58. Truss rod moves freely. Nut width is 1.727 inches. 

New Gotoh tuners fit existing hold pattern with no modifications. Original tuner bushings.

Pickups/Hardware: Genuine Fender Custom Shop '62 pickups measure 10.44K,(Precision) and 7.24 K (Jazz).  New quality CTS potentiometers and hardware. Added holes in gold anodized aluminum pickguard. Bridge and pickup cover included. 

Cosmetic Condition: Bass shows heavy honest wear giving a worn in patina. Checking in finish throughout. No breaks. Condition is well loved, not abused. 

Playability: Frets show some play wear, but plenty of life left. This bass has THE Precision sound that we all look for in Fender basses. It is currently set up and intonated in shop. 

Weight: Light weight at 7lb 13 oz.
