1980 Gibson 335-S Firebrand

Short lived Firebrand from Norlin era Gibson, featuring solid maple body and Tim Shaw era humbucking pickups. This example is in great shape and includes the original hard shell case. 

Body: Solid maple with pronounced sculpted bevelled contours. Original natural finish with natural play wear throughout. 

Neck: Three piece neck with volute, unbound dark rosewood fretboard, pearloid dot inlays. Branded Gibson logo at headstock! Serial 81920515. Truss rod moves freely. 

Pickups/Hardware: Shaw era humbucking pickups are strong at 7.54 K. Stock nickel plated tuners with pearl buttons. Nashville bridge with individual string saddles. Volume and tone controls for each pickup.

Cosmetic Condition: Honest play wear throughout, especially below bridge pickup.  Condition is well loved, not abused. 

Playability: Original frets have plenty of meat left. The guitar has been fully inspected, cleaned, frets polished, truss rod adjusted, fretboard oiled. It is currently set up and intonated with standard 10-46 strings. 

Weight: 8lb 9.6oz 

 

Case: Original hard case with all latches and handle intact.
