Gibson's first reissue of the famed 1959 Les Paul with a beautifully flamed maple top with sunburst finish. The back of the headstock was professionally repaired using a slice of three piece mahogany which matches the three piece neck. The serial number was stamped to the back of the neck using a smaller font.
Besides the headstock repair, the guitar is in original condition and plays well. The body is one piece mahogany slab with a flamed maple top. Hardware is nickel that has aged to a natural 40 year old patina. The humbuckers are stock Tim Shaw PAF clones that sound strong with defined articulation. Tone is classic Les Paul muscle with defined notes.
Original hard is included.
