1963 Fender Jazzmaster

From The Ventures to Dinosaur Jr., many bands have had their sound defined by the Fender Jazzmaster's unique tone. This Pre-CBS example features a heavily worn original sunburst finish with a nice playing neck and original electronics.  

Body: Original sunburst finish reliced with decades of normal wear and tear. Fender's classic balanced offset body shape. Original tort guard has a crack by input jack (metal shielding underneath is fully intact.  

Neck: Maple neck with dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. Clay dot inlays. 7.25" radius fingerboard with 21 frets, 25.5" scale. Nut Width: 1 5/8”.  Neck stamp is 4 JUL 63 B (Jazzmaster, July 1963, B size)

Pickups/Hardware: Original 'black bottom' single coil pickups are strong at 8.05 (neck) and 7.98 (bridge).  Tone pot code is 304-6320 (20th week 1963), volume pot is newer replacement. Replacement tuners hold strong. Neck plate stamp is L22666. Includes original tremelo bar. 

Cosmetic Condition: Heavy play wear, dings, checking. No breaks or cracks. Extra hole by E tuner, cracked pickguard. 

Playability: Newer frets have life left. Nice medium action. Notes ring out clear and true throughout the fretboard. Guitar has been fully cleaned, set up, intonated in shop. 

Modifications/Repairs: Replaced tuners, potentiometer, frets.
