1957 Fender Stratocaster

The Fender Stratocaster is iconic in both sound and design. Here's your chance to purchase an uncirculated, original family owned example in factory two tone sunburst.

Body: Original sunburst finish with natural checking throughout. The yellow hues in burst have gracefully faded. Body date is 2-57.

Neck: Maple with black dot inlays. Soft V shape. Original frets. Neck stamp is 11-57. Truss rod moves freely.

Pickups/Hardware: Bridge and middle single coil pickups are strong at 5.57 (bridge) and 5.36 (middle). Neck pickup is not working and has one nonoriginal height adjustment spacer. The pickup can be serviced or replaced at buyer's request. Single line Kluson tuners hold strong, high E tuner is slightly bent. Bridge saddles are in great condition and move freely for easy intonation. Pots date 4th week 1957.

Cosmetic Condition: Guitar has not been cleaned or polished while in shop. It's in beautiful original condition. Honest play wear throughout, wear through finish in first chord position. Checking throughout. No breaks. Condition is well loved, not abused.

Playability: Original frets show some play wear, but plenty of life left. This guitar has THE Stratocaster sound that we all look for in Strats. Guitar came to us with old flat wound strings. It is currently set up and intonated with standard 10-46 strings.

Weight: 7lb 4.6oz

Case:Original Fender hard case in great condition.  Handle intact. All hinges and latches intact.
