1960 Fender Stratocaster

The Fender Stratocaster is iconic in both sound and design. This rare 'hardtail' features a beautiful two tone sunburst finish with an early 'slab board' rosewood neck. A great addition to anyone's collection.

Body: Original sunburst finish with natural wear throughout. Body date is 2-60.  Back of body shows finish damage from strap/cord left in case.

Neck: Highly ornate bird's eye maple flame with Brazilian rosewood fretboard, clay dot inlays. Fender water decal logo intact. Overspray on back of neck. Truss rod moves freely.

Pickups/Hardware: Pickups are strong at 6.06 (bridge) and 6.09 (middle) 6.07 (neck). Single line Kluson tuners hold strong. Bridge saddles are in great condition and move freely for easy intonation. Pots date 46th week 1959.

Cosmetic Condition: Honest play wear throughout. No breaks or cracks. Condition is well loved, not abused.

Playability: Frets may be newer and show some play wear, but plenty of life left. The string through body design allows notes to ring out clear and true with lots of sustain.  Currently set up and intonated with standard 10-46 strings.

Weight: Featherweight at 6lb 9oz

Case: Original Fender hard case in great condition.  Handle intact. All hinges and latches intact.
